The approach used to study the unit of evolution in a general biology class influences the perception, the biases and interest of the student to engage in the topic, discussion and analysis of the argument. A survey was offered to the students taking the class to learn about their attitude and thoughts towards the topic. Although an apparent indifference was observed during class sessions when covering the unit, the data reflects the students are interested in the material and they think it is important to study it. Data also shows that students value discussing these issues in a Christian environment. Implications for improving faith integration and growth are discussed in the presentation.
