This poster is addressing the grade level at which algebra should be mandatory. We will be discussing when students’ brains are developed enough to learn such complicated subject matter. Currently, the policy for many schools is if students can pass an entrance exam then they will be enrolled in algebra their eighth grade year. If they do not score high enough, they will wait until their ninth grade year to begin taking algebra classes. This can be a much debated topic between educators and should be addressed.
