Proposal for Presentation
This interactive workshop will address inductive teaching as well as ways to maximize this teaching approach using Learninghub (LH). Explore methods for engaging students in learning by allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge of any subject in creative ways. Inductive teaching is achieved when students are exposed to different sets of examples, observations, experiences, and/or patterns that promote inductive reasoning, or reasoning that happens when you start with specifics and move to generalities. Using LH as a primer for your inductive teaching is an excellent way to get students thinking and creating mental paths about concepts, ideas, and/or theories, before you begin to teach. This approach prepares the students for learning new concepts, and it also helps the faculty assess what they already know.
