Proposal for Presentation

Andrews University has had a Faculty Book Club for the past two years, where interested faculty read a scholarly book on higher education pedagogy and meet three times during the semester to discuss ideas from the current book. We will interview faculty regarding how FBC has impacted their self-reflection about teaching and their teaching practice, and analyze their reflections against a background of current research on best practices in higher ed pedagogy. This project will give some indication of the value that Faculty Book Club is providing, and perhaps some ideas for how it can be improved.
