Proposal for Presentation

As teachers strive to meet curriculum goals, there is a trend to focus on academic content. This paper first discusses the integration of faith in the Ancient Near East (ANE) and the Bible, and secondly, in today’s classroom. In the ANE and the Bible, God/gods interacted with humanity in every sphere of life (family, occupations, etc.), requiring correct behavior. Likewise, it is imperative to integrate faith in the classroom through modeling spirituality and service in order to equip students to be spiritual in life and future occupations. Select Ellen White passages on spirituality in curriculum and practical application suggestions are provided.
