Sex education in school has always been a large topic for debate. Whether it is teaching sex education at all, at what age to begin teaching it, or what content to address in the classroom has been discussed at large extents. Not only is sexual education in itself a controversial topic, add religion into the mix and it becomes even more complicated. Should students be educated on birth control and safe sex, or should abstinence be the only form of sexual education needed in class? Do we discuss gender identity and sexual orientation with the students? Let’s talk about it.
